창립 1주년 기념예배 및 구정잔치

2017년 1월 29일은 질롱침례교회 창립 1주년 기념예배를 드렸습니다. 한국의 고유명절인 구정도 함께 있어 이웃들과 친구들을 초청하여 함께 잔치를 열었습니다. 특별히 설교를 해주신 김윤기 목사님께 감사를 드립니다. 아름다운 찬양으로 하나님께 영광 돌린 양목사님과 두 따님도 감사드립니다. 잔치음식을 너무나 맛있게 준비해 주신 손길도 감사드립니다. 너무나 맛있는 음식이 많이 있어서 모두들 즐거운 점심시간이었습니다.

29th of January was a special service as we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary since our inaugural service. It was also Lunar New Year so we invited our friends and family to have a small celebration. We give special thanks to Pastor YoonKi, Kim for his sermon and Pastor Yang and his two daughters for their very special song. We also thank all those who helped in preparing the food. It was such a delicious lunch and everybody enjoyed it.

점심식사 후에는 재미있는 윷놀이로 친목을 다졌습니다. 쉬우면서도 어려운 단체윷놀이로 즐겁게 웃기도 하고 아쉬워도 하면서 상품도 탈 수 있으니 이런 시간이 자주 있으면 좋을 것 같습니다. 수고해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.

We also had time to play with ‘Yut’ after lunch. It was easy, yet hard and let us laugh and also sigh. We also had some awesome prizes at the end, so why not have this kind of opportunity more often? We thank all those who helped in preparing for such a great Sunday.

아연자매 시민권 취득식

2017년 1월 26일 호주의 날을 맞아 아연자매가 시민권을 취득하였습니다. 시민권 취득식을 함께 참여해 축하해주고, 함께 즐거운 추억을 남기게 되어 하나님께 감사드립니다. 이 기회를 통해 시드니로 이사갔었던 아연자매 얼굴을 다시 볼 수 있게 되어 너무나 기쁩니다. 아연자매, 시민권 취득 축하드립니다.

Celebrating Australia day was a little special this year as we attended the citizenship ceremony for Ayeon. We thank God for allowing us to join in the celebrations and share the memories together. It was also a great joy to be able to see Ayeon again through this opportunity. Ayeon, congratulations on becoming an Australian.

한국의 강남중앙침례교회에서 사역하시다가 함께 질롱침례교회를 섬겨주시러 오신 양승순 목사님을 환영합니다. 목사님, 사모님, 전도사님, 집사님들 그리고 어린이를 대표해서 동혁이까지 함께 축복기도로 환영했습니다. 목사님께서 질롱에서 정착하시고 이루어가실 하나님의 뜻을 위해 항상 기도하는 교회가 됩시다.

We welcome Pastor Yang, who has been serving in Korea but has decided to move to Geelong to serve our church. Many people from our church came up and blessed him in prayer as we welcomed him. We hope to become a church praying faithfully for God to provide everything that is needed in Pastor Yang’s transition.

제목: 성령의 임함 (행 2:1-13)

  1. 성령의 임함은 하나님께서 약속하신 것이다.
  • 하나님의 약속과 예수 그리스도의 말씀에 따라 오순절에 성령께서 임하셨다.
  • 신자는 성령께서 임하여 충만케 함을 기대해야 한다.
  1. 성령의 임함은 여러가지 현상을 나타낸다.
  • 성령께서 임함으로 초기 신자들이 듣고, 보고, 말하는 특별한 현상을 경험했다.
  • 신자가 성령의 충만함으로 신비한 경험들을 할 수 있다.
  1. 성령의 임함으로 여러 반응들이 나타난다.
  • 초기 신자들의 성령 충만한 모습에 놀라는 사람들, 조롱하는 사람들이 있었다.
  • 신자들의 간증과 복음전도에 각각 다른 반응들이 있다.

우리는 하나님의 은혜로 성령의 임함을 경험한 예수 그리스도의 사람이다.

 

Title: The Holy Spirit comes (Acts 2:1-13)

  1. The Holy Spirit coming is what God promised.
  • The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost as per Jesus Christ’s words and God’s promise.
  • Believers should expect the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
  1. Many phenomena are shown when the Holy Spirit comes.
  • When the Holy Spirit came, many people saw, heard and said special phenomena.
  • Believers can experience mysterious phenomena through the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
  1. Many different responses happen when the Holy Spirit comes.
  • There were people who were amazed, and some who made fun of the early believers who were full of the Holy Spirit.
  • There are many different responses to the testimony and evangelism of believers.

We are people of Jesus Christ, who have experienced the Holy Spirit through the grace of God.

1월 15일 주일예배때는 김서윤, 김채윤 어린이의 특별율동찬양이 있었습니다. 어린 아이들과 함께하는 예배 시간이 더욱 더 한 가족같이 느껴지는 귀한 시간이었습니다. 어린이들이 교회에 더 많이 참석하여서 함께 하나님을 찬양하며 예배드릴 수 있길 기도합니다.

On Sunday 15th January, Suhyoon and Chaeyoon gave a special worship during the service. It is even more precious as we are joined with children in our worship, making it feel like a true family. We pray that more children will be able to join together praising God in the future.

 

오늘은 저번주일에 침례를 받은 이민재 형제에게 침례증서를 전달했습니다. 또한 결혼준비를 위해 떠나는 이민재 형제와 권보경 자매에게 교회에서 작은 선물과 축복을 전달했습니다. 아름다운 한 가정을 이루어 하나님께 더 큰 영광 돌리는 귀한 두분 되시길 기도합니다.

Today we also gave Minjae his certification of baptism. It was also his last Sunday before leaving for Korea in preparation of his wedding. The church gave Minjae and Bokyung a small gift along with our blessings. We pray that the two will become a loving family bringing glory to God.

2017년 1월 14일 교회대청소

2017년 1월 14일은 특별히 매니폴즈 하이츠 교회 성도님들과 함께 교회 대청소를 했습니다. 여러 성도님들이 오셔서 함께 교회를 아름답게 만들어가는 모습이 아름다웠습니다. 특별히 어린 동혁이도 함께 나와 작은 손길도 함께 할 수 있음을 보여주었습니다. 오셔서 수고하신 모든 성도님들께 감사드립니다.

We gathered together with the Manifold Heights Baptist Church members to have a church working bee on Saturday, 14th January. It was a wonderful sight to see many different people gathered to make our church building more beautiful. Even children like Donghyuk came and showed how albeit small, his hands can help. We thank everyone who came and helped on the day.
