제목: 예정과 찬송 (엡 1:1-6)

1. 하나님의 예정하심에 의해 사도가 된 바울

• 바울(사울)은 로마시민이며 최고의 학문을 배웠고 종교적 열심이 있었습니다.
• 다메섹으로 가는 길에 예수님을 만난 것은 하나님의 예정하심 이었습니다.

2. 하나님의 예정하심에 의해 옥에 갇힌 바울

• 역경 가운데 기록한 옥중서신들은 가장 값진 보배들이 되었습니다.
• 고난 중에라도 하나님의 뜻을 구하며 나아가면 아름다운 결과가 옵니다.

3. 하나님의 예정하심에 의해 하늘에 속한 신령한 복을 받은 우리들

• 세상의 복들은 낡아지고 언젠가는 사라집니다. ‘모든 것이 헛되도다’
• 오직 예수님의 공로로 우리는 구원받고 하나님 자녀가 되었습니다.

우리를 창조하시고 구원하신 목적은 찬송 받으시기 위함입니다. “이는 그가 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리에게 거저 주시는 바 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬송하게 하려는 것이라” (엡 1:6)

Title: Predestination and Praise (Ephesians 1:1-6)

1. Paul was predestined by God to become an apostle.

• Paul was a Roman citizen, learnt from the best scholars and had religious zeal.
• Meeting Jesus on the way to Damascus was predestined by God.

2. Paul was locked up through God’s predestination.

• The letters from the prison that was written in times of adversity became one of the most precious treasures.
• If you go forward in times of trouble asking for the will of God, beautiful results will be seen.

3. We have received the holy blessing in heaven through God’s predestination.

• The blessings of this world will wear out and disappear. ‘All is meaningless’
• We have been saved and become children of God through only the work of Jesus.

The purpose of our creation and salvation was for God to be praised. “to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.” (Ephesians 1:6)
