제목 : 복음에 합당하게(빌립보서 1:22 – 30 )

  1. 사도 바울은 두 가지 사이에서 고민했다.
  • 세상을 떠나서 그리스도와 함께 있는 것이 훨씬 더 좋은 일이지만, 육신에 거하는 것이 교회에 유익하다고 생각했다.
  • 우리는 천국을 사모하며 교회에 유익한 삶을 살아야 한다.
  1. 사도 바울은 그리스도의 복음에 합당하게 생활하라고 권면한다.
  • 우리는 성령의 인도하심으로 한 마음, 한 뜻으로 복음을 위해 협력해야 한다.
  • 우리는 무슨 일에든지 대적하는 자들을 두려워하지 않아야 한다.
  • 우리는 그리스도를 위한 고난도 받을 수 있어야 한다.

“ 십자가를 질 수 있나 주가 물어 보실 때 죽기까지 따르오리 성도 대답하였다 우리의 심령 주의 것이니 주님의 형상 만드소서 주인도 따라 살아갈 동안 사랑과 충성 늘 바치오리다“ (찬송가 461장)

  1. The Apostle Paul agonized between two things.
  • It is much better to leave the world and be with Christ, but it was more beneficial for the church to remain in the body.
  • We should yearn for heaven and be useful to the church.
  1. The Apostle Paul encouraged to live a life worthy of the gospel of Christ.
  • We should cooperate for the gospel with one heart and mind through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  • We should not be frightened in any way by those who oppose us.
  • We should be ready to suffer for Christ.

“ Are ye able,” said the Master, “To be crucified with Me?”
“Yea,” the sturdy dreamers answered, “To the death we follow Thee.”
“Lord, make us able,” Our spirits are Thine, remold them, make us, like Thee divine. Thy guiding radiance above us shall be a beacon to God, To love and loyalty. (New Hymnal 461 )

2018년 2월 3일 침례식, 집사 임명식

지난 2월 첫번째 주일, 침례식과 함께 집사 임명식이 있었습니다.

침례식에 앞서 두 분의 간증, 삶의 주인으로 예수 그리스도를 인정하고 예수님과의 동행을 고백하는 이야기는 듣는 성도들의 마음에 잔잔한 울림을 주었습니다.  이젠 예수님과 함께 죽고 사는 두 분의 인생임을 함께 축하하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

새롭게 또는 다시 집사 임직을 받은 여러분들의 한 해가 ‘충성된 일꾼’으로 인정받아 기쁨이 넘치는 시간 되시길 기도합니다.

On the first Sunday of February we had a baptism ceremony and appointment of deacons.

It was a very touching moment as Josh and Daisy shared their testimonies before being baptised of proclaiming Jesus Christ as their Lord. We congratulated them as they decided on living a life walking with Jesus.

May all who have been newly appointed as deacons live this year as faithful stewards and experience the abundance of joy in their lives.

  1. 예수님께서 시험 받으신 것은 우리에게 마귀의 시험이 있음을 알려준다.
  • 사람의 아들로 오신 예수님께서 마귀에게 시험을 받으셨다.
  • 우리는 항상 깨어 있어 마귀의 시험을 대비하여야 한다..
  1. 예수님께서 시험 받으신 내용을 통해 시험의 내용을 파악하게 한다.
  • 마귀의 시험은 신체적, 정신적, 영적인 모든 것을 포함한다.
  • 우리도 물질과 세상의 욕망, 신앙적 오해 등의 시험이 있음을 알아야 한다.

  1. The temptation of Jesus shows that we will be tempted by Satan.
  • Jesus, who came as Son of man, was tempted by Satan.
  • We should always be awake to prepare for temptation.
  1. The temptation of Jesus shows us the content of temptation.
  • Temptation from Satan includes all physical, mental, and spiritual things.
  • We should know that there is temptation regarding wealth, wordly desires, and misunderstanding in faith.
  1. Jesus overcame temptation to show us how to overcome temptation.
  • Jesus overcame temptation from Satan with the word of God.
  • We should also fight against Satan with the name of Jesus, and overcome temptation with the word of God.

“ Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” ( Hebrews 2:18 )
