1. 예수님께서 죄를 미워하시나 죄인은 불쌍히 여기신다.

• 예수님께서 모든 사람들이 싫어하는 죄인의 친구가 되셨다.
• 우리는 죄인을 불쌍히 여기시는 예수님을 맞이해야 한다.

2. 예수님께서 죄를 지적하시지 않고 용서하여 주신다.

• 예수님께서 여인에게 죄를 깨달아 회개하도록 하셨고, 죄를 용서하셨다.
• 우리는 죄를 완전히 용서해주시는 예수님을 믿어야 한다.

3. 예수님께서 죄의 많고 적음보다 우리의 믿음을 강조하신다.

• 예수님께서 죄 사함의 은혜에 대한 감격된 반응을 믿음이라고 말씀하셨다.
• 우리는 하나님의 은혜에 대하여 감격된 신앙을 주님께 사랑으로 표현해야 한다.

“만일 우리가 우리 죄를 자백하면 그는 미쁘시고 의로우사 우리 죄를 사하시며 우리를 모든 불의에서 깨끗하게 하실 것이요”(요일1:9)

1. Jesus hates sin but has mercy on sinners.

• Jesus became a friend to a sinner hated by all.
• We should accept Jesus who is merciful to sinners.

2. Jesus did not point out sin, but forgive sin.

• Jesus allowed the woman to realize and repent of her own sin, and forgave sin.
• We should believe in Jesus who forgives our sins completely.

3. Jesus emphasizes faith rather than the amount of sin.

• Jesus said that faith is our response to the grace of forgiveness.
• We should express our faith to Jesus in love.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. ( 1John 1:9 )
