1. 사도 바울은 로마 감옥에서 빌립보 성도들에게 기쁨의 편지를 보냈다.

• 기쁨의 근거를 예수님께 두어야 한다.
• 그럴 때 죽음도 두려워하지 않는 믿음을 갖게 된다.

2. 사도 바울은 예수님의 마음을 품으라고 권면한다.

• 창조주이신 분이 피조물의 모습으로 오셔서 죽기까지 복종하셨다.
• 디모데와 에바브로디도 같은 복음의 용사들이 되어야 한다.

3. 사도 바울은 그리스도를 아는 지식이 가장 고상하다고 고백한다.

• 세상 물질이나 쾌락보다 주님을 높이는 삶을 살아야 한다.
• 주님의 상급을 위해 달려가는 삶, 천국시민 다운 삶을 살아야 한다.

4. 사도 바울은 주 안에 서고, 주 안에서 기뻐하라고 권면한다. .

• 감사의 기도로 나아가면 평강의 하나님이 함께 하신다.
• 주님 능력으로 어떤 어려움도 이겨낼 수 있다.

1. Apostle Paul sent a letter of joy to the Philippians while in Roman prison.

• We should base our happiness on Jesus.
• Then we will have the faith to be fearless of death.

2. Apostle Paul taught to have the mindset of Jesus.

• The Creator became creation to obey until death.
• We should be workers for the gospel like Timothy and Epaphroditus.

3. Apostle Paul said knowledge of Jesus has surpassing worth.

• We should glorify the Lord rather than worldly wealth or pleasure.
• We should live towards Lord’s reward, worthy of being citizens of heaven.

4. Apostle Paul taught to stand firm in the Lord, and rejoice in the Lord.

• The God of peace will be with us when we pray with thanksgiving.
• We can overcome all hardship with strength from the Lord.

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.” (Phil. 4:23)
