1. The faith confession of a family community is important in the Christian faith.

• Joshua represented his household to proclaim that they will serve the LORD God. 
• We should confess and proclaim with the faith that our families will be saved. 

2. The Christian faith expects the decision of the family community. 

• Joshua urged the leaders of each Israelite tribe to decide on their faith. 
• We should share the gospel with the goal of having the entire family return to the Lord. 

3. The Christian faith expands to the entire community. 

• Joshua’s proclamation of faith influenced all the Israelites to serve the LORD.
• We should have an influence on our family and community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

   • 여호수아가 전한 여호와의 말씀은 이스라엘 백성들에게 베푸신 하나님의 은혜였다.

1. Our worship gathering is to present ourselves before God. 

• The Israelites gathered in Shechem to present themselves before the LORD God.
• We should treasure the worship service where we come to Jesus Christ our Lord of salvation.

2. Our worship gathering is to hear the word of God. 

• Joshua proclaimed the word of LORD God to the gathered Israelites. 
• We should concentrate on the sermon to listen to the word of God.

3. Our worship gathering is to remember and give thanks for God’s grace.

• Joshua’s message was about the grace of God gifted to the Israelites. 
• We should think about, praise, and give testimony about Jesus Christ the grace of God.

   • 우리는 모든 은혜 가운데 예수님께서 이루신 구원을 가장 귀한 은혜로 여겨야 한다.

   • 바울은 부활하신 예수 그리스도를 만난 것을 하나님의 은혜로 고백했다.
   • 우리가 예수 그리스도를 구주와 주님으로 믿는 것은 순전히 하나님의 은혜이다.

   • 바울이 사도가 되고, 복음을 열심히 전하는 것이 하나님의 은혜라고 선언했다.     
   • 우리는 구원의 은혜에 대한 감격을 가지고 찬송과 예배, 기도와 복음전도의 삶을 살아야 한다.

1. ‘그리스도의 남은 고난‘은 예수님의 고난이 부족하다는 것이 아니라 그의 몸 된 교회에게 남은 고난이 있다는 표현이다.

2. ‘그리스도의 남은 고난‘에 동참하는 것은 교회를 사랑하고 섬기는 것이다.

3. ‘그리스도의 남은 고난‘에 동참하는 것은 전도와 선교에 헌신하는 것이다.

Title: What is Lacking in Christ’s Affliction (col. 1:24)

1. This does not mean that Christ did not suffer enough, but rather that there is remaining suffering for the church, the body of Christ. 

2. To participate in Christ’s affliction is to love and serve the church.

3. To participate in Christ’s affliction is to dedicate oneself to evangelism and mission.

1. Parents should travel for faith with their children. 

• Jesus visited the Jerusalem temple with His parents in His childhood.
• We should travel for faith with our children as much as we can. 

2. Families should always remember and share memories of trips that were beneficial for faith.

• Jesus’ family often spoke of the story of visiting Jerusalem. 
• We should share stories of family trips that were beneficial for faith.

3. Christians should consider memories of faithful journeys as God’s blessings and give thanks. 

• Jesus said that He was the son of God since He was young, and His mother treasured this in her heart. 
• We should consider all memories of faith as God’s blessings and give thanks.
