1. 미신과 우상숭배는 인간의 두려움에서 시작된 헛된 신앙이다.
   • 바울이 아덴 사람들이 미신과 우상숭배에 빠져있는 것을 보고 분노했다. 
   • 우리는 모든 사람들이 미신과 우상숭배로 헛된 신앙을 갖고 있음을 알아야 한다.  
2. 철학은 인간의 교만을 근거로 한 거짓 교훈이다.   
   • 바울이 헬라 철학자들과 변론했으며, 토론광장에서 시민들에게 복음을 전했다.
   • 우리는 세상 철학이 인본주의에 의한 교만에 근거하고 있음을 알아야 한다.
3. 복음은 인간의 죄를 해결하는 구원의 진리이다.
   • 바울이 창조의 하나님과 예수 그리스도의 십자가 죽음과 부활로 이루신 구원을 선포했다.
   • 우리는 예수 그리스도가 구원의 주님이심을 믿고 전해야 한다.         

Title: Superstition, Philosophy, and the Gospel           (Acts 17:22 – 31)

1. Superstition and idol worship are false faith which started from human fear. 

• Paul was enraged to see the superstition and idol worship of the people of Athens.
• All people have false faith in superstition and idol worship.

2. Philosophy is false teachings based on human arrogance.

• Paul debated with the Greek philosophers, and evangelized to the people in the Areopagus.
• Philosophies of the world are based on humanistic arrogance.

3. The Gospel is the truth of salvation which solves the problem of human sin.

• Paul proclaimed the Creator God and the salvation achieved through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
• We should believe and proclaim that Jesus Christ is the Lord of Salvation

1. 복음전도는 성경을 가르쳐 예수 그리스도를 증거하는 것이다.
   • 바울이 회당에서 성경을 강론하여 예수 그리스도의 죽음과 부활을 증거 했다.
   • 우리는 오직 예수님이 구원의 하나님이심을 증거하기 위해 성경을 가르치고 설교해야 한다.
2. 복음전도는 어떤 사람들에게 강한 거부감을 주어 박해가 일어나게 한다.
   • 유대인들이 복음전도를 싫어하여 사람들을 충동하여 전도자들을 박해했다.
   • 우리는 순수한 복음을 전하면 반드시 반대와 박해가 있음을 알아야 한다.
3. 복음전도는 하나님께서 택한 사람들을 믿게 하여 교회를 세운다.  
   • 복음을 들은 사람들 중에 예수님을 믿고 따르는 사람들이 교회를 이루었다.
   • 우리는 그리스도의 몸인 교회로서 예수님을 증거하여야 한다.

Title: Evangelism at the Synagogue(Acts 17:1 – 9)

1. Evangelism is to teach the Bible and proclaim Jesus Christ.

• Paul explained the scriptures in the synagogue to proclaim the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 
• We should proclaim that only Jesus is the God of salvation.

2. Evangelism may incite strong resistance in some people leading to persecution.

• Some Jews did not like evangelism so they cited the crowd to persecute. 
• When we proclaim the pure gospel there will always be resistance and persecution.

3. Evangelism will make the chosen people of God to believe and form churches. 

• From those who heard the gospel, those who believed and followed Jesus formed a church. 
• As the body of Christ, the church should proclaim Jesus.

Satan tries to deceive us through fine-sounding arguments.

• Modern Gnostic heresies, humanism, New Age movements

We should have discipline in life and faith. 

• Meditate on God’s word first, keep service time and attend Sunday service.

We should be rooted and built up in the Lord.

• We should be strengthened in faith as we were taught.

• We should be thankful to defeat pride and other sins.

1. 하나님께서 ‘언제나 어디서나’ 복음전도자들을 도와주신다. 
   1. 하나님께서 바울 일행의 항해를 순탄하게 하셨고, 옥에 갇혔을 때 도와주셨다
   1. 우리는 하나님께서 어떤 상황에서도 도와주실 것을 믿어야 한다.  
2. 복음은 ‘누구에게든지, 어떻게라도’ 전파되어야 한다.  
   1. 바울은 다양한 사람에게 여러 가지 방법으로 복음을 전했다.
   1. 우리는 누구에게나 복음이 필요함을 믿고, 어떤 방법으로든지 복음을 전해야 한다.
3. 영혼구원이 ‘무엇이나, 어떤 이유’ 보다 가장 중요하다.
   1. 바울은 무엇보다 귀중한 구원의 복음을 전했으며, 루디아와 여종, 간수 등이 영혼구원을 최고의 기쁨과 복으로 여겼다.
   1. 우리는 세상의 그 무엇보다 영혼구원을 중요하게 여기고, 구원의 은혜에 감사해야 한다.

Title: In Philippi (Acts 16:11 – 15, 30 – 34)                                               

1. God helps the evangelists ‘whenever’ and ‘wherever’. 

• God helped the sea passage to be smooth for Paul and his companions, and helped when they were imprisoned.
• We should believe that God will help us in any situation.

2. The gospel should be shared with ‘whoever’ and ‘however’ it can. 

• Paul shared the gospel with diverse people with various methods.
• We should believe that all need to gospel and share the gospel however we can.

3. Salvation of the soul is more important than ‘whatever’ and ‘any reason’. 

• Paul shared the gospel of salvation, and Lydia, the female slave, and the jailer considered their salvation to be the greatest joy and blessing.
• We should treasure the salvation of souls more than anything in this world, and give thanks for our salvation.
