1. 때로 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지는데 중요한 역할을 한다.
   • 다윗과 요나단은 사울의 위협에도 불구하고 깊은 우정을 지켰다.
   • 우리는 어떤 관계를 통하여서든지 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지길 기도해야 한다.
2. 우정은 서로 믿으므로 깊어지고, 약속을 지키므로 신뢰를 나타낸다.
   • 다윗과 요나단은 서로 신뢰하였고, 서로 맺은 언약을 지켰다.   
   • 우리는 어떤 관계에서든지 서로 믿고, 약속을 지켜야 한다.
3. 참된 우정은 헤어질 때가 있을지라도 영원하다.  
   • 다윗과 요나단이 어쩔 수 없이 헤어졌어도 그들의 깊은 우정은 변치 않았다.   
   • 우리는 참된 친구이신 예수님께서 영원히 함께 하심을 믿어야 한다.

1. Friendship sometimes plays an important role in fulfilling the will of God. 

• David and Jonathan kept a close relationship despite Saul’s threats.
• We should pray that God’s will is fulfilled through our relationships.

2. Friendship is deepened through trust, which is shown through keeping promises.

• David and Jonathan trusted each other and kept their promises.
• We should trust and keep promises in our relationships.

3. True friendship is eternal even when apart.

• David and Jonathan had to part but their deep friendship did not change.
• We should believe that our true friend Jesus is with us always

1. 심부름은 맡을 만한 사람에게 주어지는 사명이다.
   • 다윗은 모든 일에 신실하여 아버지의 심부름을 맡았다.
   • 우리는 누구로부터든지 중요한 일을 맡을 만큼 믿음직스러운 사람이   되어야 한다.
2. 심부름을 맡은 사람은 책임감을 갖고 즉시 실행해야 한다.
   • 다윗은 아버지의 명령에 즉시 순종하여 전쟁터에 있는 형들에게로 갔다.
   • 우리는 무슨 일이든지 맡겨지면 책임감을 갖고 즉시, 그리고 끝까지 실행하여야 한다.  
3. 심부름을 잘 수행한 사람에게 더 큰 사명이 맡겨진다.
   • 다윗은 여호와의 이름을 모욕하는 블레셋 장군 골리앗을 죽였다.   
   • 우리는 다윗을 통하여 예수 그리스도를 보아야 하고, 최고의 사명인 복음전도를 해야 한다.

Title: A Father’s Errand (1Samuel 17:17 – 27)

1. An errand is given to someone trustworthy.

• David was faithful in all his duties, so his father entrusted him with the errand. 
• We should be trustworthy so others can entrust us with important things. 

2. A person entrusted with an errand should be responsible and obey right away.

• David obeyed his father right away and went to his brothers at the battlefield.
• We should also be responsible and obey right away to completion of what is entrusted to us.

3. Those who have completed errands are entrusted with greater duties.

• David killed the Philistine champion Goliath who insulted the name of the LORD.
• We should see Jesus Christ through David, and obey the command to proclaim the gospel.

1. 주님께서 전도여행을 마치고 돌아오도록 인도하셨다.
   • 바울이 주님의 인도를 따라 안디옥에 돌아왔다. 
   • 우리는 인생의 모든 여정을 주님의 인도를 따라야 한다.   
2. 주님께서 어느 곳이든 주님이 정한 기간 머물게 하신다.
   • 바울이 주님의 뜻에 의해 안디옥에 잠시 머물렀다.    
   • 우리는 어디든지 주님께서 머물게 하시는 동안 주님의 사랑을 나눠야 한다.
3. 주님께서 사명을 수행하도록 즉시 떠나게 하신다.
   • 바울이 주님께서 분부하신 사명을 위해 안디옥을 떠났다.  
   • 우리는 주님께서 각자에게 주신 사명을 깨닫고, 그것을 위해 살아야 한다.

Title: Return from Mission Trip and Immediate Departure ( Acts 18:18 – 23 )

1. The Lord guided the completion of the mission trip and return.

• Paul returned to Antioch following the Lord’s guidance.
• We should follow the Lord’s guidance in our life journey.

2. The Lord decides how long to stay in a particular place.

• Paul stayed in Antioch for a short while according to the Lord’s will.
• We should share the Lord’s love while we stay in each place.

3. The Lord makes us depart right away to fulfill our duties.

• Paul left Antioch for the duties that the Lord commanded him. 
• We should realize what the Lord wants us to do, and live our lives for it.

1. 주님께서 사람을 통해 힘을 얻게 하신다.
   • 바울이 새로운 사람을 만나고 헤어졌던 동료를 만남으로 힘을 얻었다.
   • 우리는 오래된 교회 가족과 새로운 신자들 모두 서로 위로와 격려를 해야 한다.  
2. 주님께서 일을 통해 힘을 내게 하신다.  
   • 바울이 사역의 열매로 보람을 느꼈고, 사역의 방향을 바꿈으로 새로운 각오를 하였다.    
   • 우리는 가정, 교회, 일터 등 모든 환경에서 주님이신 예수님께서 힘을 주심을 믿어야 한다.
3. 주님께서 말씀으로 담대하게 하신다. 
   • 바울이 환상 중에 예수님의 말씀으로 영적인 담대함을 얻었다.
   • 우리는 성경말씀을 개인적으로 적용하여 주님의 말씀으로 들어야 한다.

Title: Comfort and Encouragement (Acts 18:1 – 10)

1. The Lord gives us strength through people.

• Paul was strengthened by meeting new people, and reuniting with old companions.
• We should comfort and encourage our church members. 

2. The Lord gives us strength through work.

• Paul felt worthwhile through the fruits of his ministry, and decided on a new direction. 
• We are strengthened by Jesus in our environments such as home, church, and workplace. 

3. The Lord makes us bold through the Word.

• Paul was spiritually emboldened through Jesus who spoke to him in a vision.
• We should hear the Lord speaking to us through the Bible, and apply it to our lives.
